A religious relic that originated in Ancient Mesopotamia, mainly representing a shield that was made out of molten iron and bronze. This shield was custom hand-made by a biblical prophet, thought to be King David of Israel.

This 'Essam' Shield had Divine power that can deter and defend the bearer against physical strikes from medieval weapons, as well as defending against evil magical spells.
Saint Augustine pulled his sword out, and pointed it towards the dragon. Before charging, he took cover with his Essam to deter the dragons flames and evil spells that rained on him from the dragons mouth, and delivering only one strike from his sword, the dragon was dead.
