quadra depth

A compositional technique in photography and video in which a single frame holds four simultaneous layers of motion and depth: (1) a foreground element reaching toward the viewer, (2) genuine emotion on the subject's face, (3) the body leaning into the motion, and (4) a counter-motion anchoring the body in the opposite direction — the tension pulls the viewer into the frame, creating the urge to reach back and catch the subject. Coined by Jimmie Lacie in Muskogee, Oklahoma on October 28, 2026.
She didn't just pose for the photo, she used quadra depth — hand reaching, laughing, leaning in, legs anchoring her — and you can feel her about to fall right out of the frame into your arms.
