Geotechnology

- an engineering science and techniques concerned with extraction of Earth natural resources based on its in-situ conversion into a liquid or gaseous form
Examples: solution mining, in-situ leaching, borehole mining, coal gasification, O&G stimulation, geothermal energy, etc.
Generally speaking, the term Geotechnology covers all the methods of extraction of natural resources other than conventional mining (surface and underground)
