Reader's Bias
The cognitive disconnect experienced by dedicated book, manga, or comic fans when evaluating an adaptation, where their deep knowledge of original lore, character arcs, and worldbuilding makes them penalize a project that is actually solid on its own merits.
The story is well-made cinema to a casual viewer, but the reader's brain keeps flagging missing scenes, swapped identities, and rewritten backstories.
