Couples skating by yourself

To leave one's partner at a social event, usually due to excessive bitchyness. Derived from loners that would cirle the skating rink floor by themselves during a "couples skate"

I was at the party with my girl, she started giving me shit. I told her "if you don't shut up, you will be couples skating by yourself"
