A decaying genre of music which thrives on the most animalistic forms of human behavior, such as sex, violence, etc. It was dominant in the mainstream for the past few years, however its influence seems to be declining, in favor of more popular rock and pop bands. In an attempt to remain at the top of the market, many rap acts have taken elements from "rock", especially (but not limited to) clothing, instruments, etc.
