Kohberger Effect

A fandemic spreading through the global true crime community since the murder suspect's arrest. Also, the uncontrollable urge to psychoanalyze a murder suspect who has not plead guilty and not yet been found guilty of murder. It can lead to making up stories and spreading online gossip about the suspect which cannot be proven to be true because the judge placed a gag order on everyone involved with the case. This contagion can lead to creation of videos that may not age well, and may end up in slander/libel lawsuits in the future. The desired effect is for the videos to gain followers and views to their channels, while also convicting the suspect through their chosen media. Ironically, this can all lead to the suspect being exonerated in the end.
