Hypebeast 

The ability to convey or demonstrate emotional devotion to a particular event, person, place, or thing - such to an extent that the other person(s) is then absorbed into, and even mirrors the same level of excitement or "hype" (especially in regards to mundane or routine happenings).

That dude was such a hypebeast, he actually got me to watch an episode of that awful anime show. I was even EXCITED about it! Shame.
