Beno 

Australian slang for a person on benefits. IE someone who is unemployed and usually under the influence of any number of things.

When you get out at Gossy station, you have to step over the benos, but once you get past them its quite nice.

Gunner

A person who goes above and beyond to exceed expectations. It only has a negative connotation to those who aren't gunners. The term isn't actually about peers. It is about the person who wants it most. The person willing to stay up every night of the week to get it done.

If you want something done, get Christina, she is a gunner.

Mean 

"To make a mean cup of coffee" is an old Southern expression for making something really good. "She makes a mean chicken stew." "Granny does a mean Pasodoble, you'd never know she was thirty years older than Juan Carlos."
