Also known as laptop-rap. Hip-hop with synthesizers and many elements of electronica. But with rapping. Usually composed on a laptop. See Hopster and Hipster-Hop

The DJ was a lap-rap because he used a laptop and not turntables.

Hopster

Hopster (n.) One who fits most requirements of a hipster but has a different mind set and engages in hip-hop music.

The hopster wore skinny jeans but did not ride a fixie.
