Handidipity

When a new product has some unexpected usefulness.

Like when you take your gas car on vacation because your Tesla won’t make it or you just don’t want to spend your vacation keeping it charged, but the charging notifications keep you informed about the power at you house.

In our case, it was serendipity that we were on vacation at Lake Superior during hurricane beryl while our neighbors were hunkered down at places with generators. But we needed a better word for being first to know that the power was restored when our plug in notified us it was charged. Not finding a real word, we took inspiration from Rich Little’s sniglets to call it handidipity.
It was Handidipity that we learned our power had been restored after the hurricane.
