The Syndo-Mathian Effect

When you trick someone into believing something that isn’t true, typically under the guise of having scientific or research-based proof. Often for humorous intent
Daniel: You know how you’ll learn about a song, and then you start hearing it everywhere?

Bill: Ah yes, I believe that’s called Wesolowski’s principle

*later*

Daniel: Hey man, I looked up that thing you said, andI can’t find it anywhere!

Bill: *chuckle* My friend, you’ve fallen victim to the Syndo-Mathian effect
