meme diversity

The kind of diversity that's mentioned everywhere, with parameters like race, sex, class, gender identity, sexual orientation, and religion. Does not include "deeper" parameters of real diversity such family size, medical history, career aspirations, and favourite foods.

When Tracy was passed over for the weekend anchor position because she didn't fulfill the television network's diversity quotient, she brought up the fact that she suffers from Crohn's disease. The network, following the guidelines of meme diversity, ignored her rebuttal and Tracy was stuck as a reporter for years to come.
