snake

A term used by surfers to denote either 1. An ungenerous fellow who hogs all the waves or 2. The act of taking off on a wave without waiting one's turn.

Watch out for that greedy snake in the day-glo wetsuit, he's known for dropping in on other people's waves.

Dude, I didn't mean to snake you but I thought you weren't going to take that wave.
