That thing where you’ve already left the house but suddenly start wondering if you unplugged something, locked the door, turned something off, etc. You know you checked, but your brain refuses to accept it, so you go back and check again.
“I was halfway to work when I got stuck in The Exit Loop. I knew I’d unplugged my charger, but I had to turn around and check.”

“Bro, The Exit Loop got me last night. I went back twice to make sure I locked the door.”

The Exit Loop

An urban ritual that makes a house dweller obsess over the question if something that shouldn’t have been left plugged in... is plugged in. Leads to repeated checks, even if the first confirmed it was not the case.
“Bro, The Exit Loop kicked in halfway to work and suddenly I couldn’t remember if I’d unplugged my charger.”
Man, last night before the party, The Exit Loop hit me hard and I went back twice to make sure I locked the door.”
