Used as an adjective in tree surgery / arboriculture to describe a situation or person that is awkward, deliberately challenging and difficult.
'That tree is Iain' Used to describe an awkward or obstinate tree.
'Don't be Iain' shouted to an incompetent groundsman who has sent you a blunt chainsaw with no fuel in. A derogatory term used in memory of the moron who pulled away a ladder sending a good climber to days in hospital after a terrible fall.
