when someone watches a given TV show or movie well after its initial release and then expresses an opinion to people who saw it when it first came out

“Finally watched the last episode of The Sopranos on DVD. That ending sucked!”

“Yeah, but we got over it years ago. Now I’m all pissed off again. Thanks for the fanachronism.”
