Yes, this term is car business slang for large profit on a deal. However, it is more specific to the amount in thousands is equal to the "weight in pounds". Thus, if the salesperson made a $2,000 profit it would be a "2 pounder".
Dude, we were six grand back of book in that car and I only made a 2 pounder!!!

Car business term for when a dealer owns a used vehicle for less than Kelly Blue Book wholesale value.
"We are five grand back of book in that Intrepid, go show them that one."
