Similar to
ace, but is appearing as a description of someone instead of describing something you can do well (as in “she’s an ace at driving”). If you’re an ace you’re good at something. If you’re an ais you’re good at being human.
Ais means to be an outstanding, strong and respectable person. You are top of the line (as in being card number one with “ace”), but still fully human and relatable. You’re no hero, because they also are foolish, but you’re wise and kind. The best one can be. Being an ais is to be the absolute opposite of being an
ass.
Pronounced “aise” and seen used as “(AIS)” in chats among European non-native English speakers.
