Big Lard Man is a phrase used to refer to a largely overweight male person. It is a generally derogatory term, however it can be used as a friendly jab between chums.

Derogatory: look at that big lard man, he's on his 20th burger.

Friendly: hey you want some popcorn with that butter you big lard man?
