Verb: (si-lak-d) The act of making a commitment (to an event, gathering, etc) at least one week before the commitment is scheduled to begin then canceling less than two hours before said commitment is scheduled to start.
Conversational use:
Me: Getting tickets to End Game for opening night in four weeks. Show starts at 6:45pm
Sylak: In!

Fast forward to day of show, 6:30pm
Me: I grabbed us 2 primo seats. Lemme know when you get here.

Sylak: Oh, I’m out.
