A famous Darktide streamer popularized it. He often called for "a compass of W's" whenever people gift subscriptions or donate. The reasoning is that if you turn the W from left to right, you end up with 3WEM. Claysthetics, with the help of one of his mods, "SpaceTrump," came up with this in one of his streams.
