"pede", sometimes noted as 'pede, is an abbreviation for the term centipede. Referring mostly to the particular species of centipede scutigera coleoptrata, or house centipede, the term is derived from the naturally playful nature of the lil' basement-dwellers. Pedes are often found in parties, a gathering referred to as a "pede party", and hang out on the walls of basements and bathrooms, just chillin'.
