The art of manipulating one person to do the work of two people, while receiving the same pay as one.
One example of profitology; A company decides to layoff employees to improve productivity. Therefore, one employee is laid off, and their workload is added to a remaining employees workload. The remaining employee now works twice as hard, for the same pay. This allows the employer to gain more profits, and pay themselves even larger bonuses.
