The large, rapid spreading of an unintelligent or false idea among the masses. First coined by Jimmy Kimmel to describe the increasing number of people saying "refudiate" as if it were a word, which originated from a Sarah Palin tweet.
Man: Did you see that news reporter say "refudiate" on TV? That's not even a word! Sarah Palin made it up!
Woman: Yep, it's a regular epidumbic.
Woman: Yep, it's a regular epidumbic.
