A word used in conversation, with no meaning, deliberately meant as a word the person you are talking to does not know, such that you appear more intelligent. Most commonly used as an adjective.

That was a very sarpuitous definition I just gave you.

A word defined in the high school years.
It's used as a statement describing someone as being pathetic.

"Pathesia!!" I said after watching them lose again.
