Trophyitis

Trophyitis - a condition that afflicts competitively-minded individuals; the false expectation of an award, medal or trophy. People who suffer from trophyitis often feel a sense of entitlement, as if basic accomplishments or mundane life activities warrant superfluous recognition.

He expected some type of award for taking out the trash, obviously suffering from trophyitis.
