Gassing someone up-usually means talking them up to do something, and encouraging them to do something they normally wouldn’t do because of shyness. Being Gassed up can also mean getting motivated by someone else to do something good or bad.

Gassed him- To Encourage or Empower someone into doing something out of their comfort zone.
