theospammer

An evangelist who visits discussion groups, especially those used by other faiths or multi-faith groups, posts religious tracts, and doesn't bother contributing to or even reading the follow-up discussion. An example of the theospammer is the Islamic "lorrainelee" from Yahoo Groups, who regularly spams the Pagan and Gothic-lifestyle groups.

Also known as espamgelists and Manic E-Preachers.
Someone please ban that theospammer!

Echelon

The codename for the NSA's (National Security Agency) high-tech information-interception system. Echelon has a collection of satellite dishes (supposedly Echelon is made up of a network of satellite dishes)overseas, basically in all english-speaking countries (including America, Canada, England, Australia, and New Zealand...).

Echelon is said to intercept, on a daily basis, billions of e-mails, phonecalls, downloads, satellite transmissions, faxes, and any other form of digital media. This is used to help locate possible terrorists in the new age of cyber warfare.

Echelon was made popular, and positively (as in, in a good way), by Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell. ^_^
"Don't worry about the Echelon system keeping a record of your e-mails! They don't really read all of'em. Stop being paranoid and live your life! >_< "

wapanese

An individual, not of Japanese heritage, who is over-influenced by Japanese animation, entertainment, and culture, and emulates them on a regular basis.
Wapanese people are likely to boast ultra-biased opinions concerning the difference between Japan and America; Japan will be considered by wapanese people to be superior in EVERY way, particularly in entertainment (including anime).

The term "wapanese" supposedly is a combination of "white" and "japanese", because as it turns out, the greatest percentage of those wapanese are caucasian (aka : white-skinned).
"It's times like this that I'm glad I'm not wapanese. Since I'm not wapanese, that means I appreciate and admire both Japanese and American culture and entertainment! ^.^ "

PLA

People's Liberation Army

The name of the armed forces of the People's Republic of China.

The PLA is composed of three branches:

*PLA (People's Liberation Army)
The Army is the very basis of the military, composed of "grunts" trained to become infantry for usual land warfare. Like any other nation's military, it has artillery (like tanks and other armor), special forces, engineers, and basic infantry.

*PLAN (People's Liberation Army Navy)
The PLAN is like any other navy, since it has ship all kinds (like warships, carriers, and submarines). The PLAN also has a Marine Corps, although it's not as advanced, or powerful, as the USMC.

*PLAAF (People's Liberation Army Air Force)
The PLAAF is like any other nation's airforce in that it has aircraft of all kinds. China has been experimenting with UAV's (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles).

The PLA is owned by the PRCCMC (People's Republic of China Central Military Commission), which is run by a chairman, often a general.

The PLA also specializes in fields involving C4I (Command, Control, Communications, Computers & Intelligence), outer space and, of course, nuclear arsenal.

In China, people are required to join the military upon graduation from school. In otherwords, unlike other sources saying so, the setup is not a draft, but seemingly, conscription.
"The PLA is interesting in that their main assault rifles, the T95's, are chambered for 5.56x45mm NATO....that's the US & allied caliber for assault rifles....are we looking at an alliance with China one day?.....probably not. -_- such a shame. China, with its interesting culture and rich history....fascinated with world domination like eons ago....but what do I know; I'm an American. Being American is a good thing, but it has its downs too. -_- "
