DLFTA

DLFTA: Disguised Like Fluff, Turns into Arceus

A DLFTA is someone who shows up looking serious and professional — usually armed with a laptop — but within five minutes you realize they’ve secretly been a chaotic genius the whole time. DLFTA-types are the kind of people who say “just a quick update” and then proceed to blow your mind with wild ideas, perfect sarcasm, and probably a reference to Pokémon or conspiracy theories involving Tupperware lids.

They’re often found lurking in tech teams, innovation squads, or anywhere free coffee is available. Known for low-key brilliance, unexpected jokes, and being just mysterious enough that you never really know what they’re up to. Until it’s done. And it’s amazing.

Common signs you’re dealing with a DLFTA:
• Can quote both Steve Jobs and SpongeBob in a single meeting
• Ability to deflect difficult questions by using random words
• Knows more than you, but still laughs at your dumb jokes
• Somehow becomes everyone’s favorite without trying
Example:
Manager: “Who solved this complex issue and found the hidden Pokémon while I was still explaining the issue?
Colleague: “That’s a classic DLFTA move. Probably Sepp.”

Alternate uses:
“Don’t underestimate him — he’s a total DLFTA.”
“Careful with that one. Smiles like an intern, plans like a Bond villain. Full DLFTA.”

“You just got DLFTA’d.” (Translation: You thought they weren’t paying attention, but they already solved it.)
