Pronounced like the first part of “Yogie Bear”. Refers to the loose skin between one’s thumb and pointer finger. When the thumb is extended it creates a very slight webbed effect.
Bob: Goddamn it! I just got a paper cut on my yog!!!!!!!
Sally: Put some lemon juice on it- it will feel better!

Yog Sothoth is a widely renowned deity in the fiction of H.P. Lovecraft. It’s domain is associated through several stories with time and space on a multiple dimensional scale. Indeed Yog Sothoth is said to exist outside of what we as humanity perceive as time and space. In appearance it is said to take the form of multiple glowing spheres. Yog Sothoth is emboldened mainly to acquire otherworldly and otherwise unobtainable knowledge. In one instance the god has been known to produce offspring through contact with human beings (The Dunwich Horror).
One calls upon Yog Sothoth for knowledge.
“Yog-Sothoth knows the gate. Yog-Sothoth is the gate. Yog-Sothoth is the key and guardian of the gate. Past, present, future, all are one in Yog-Sothoth. He knows where the Old Ones broke through of old, and where They shall break through again. He knows where They have trod earth's fields, and where They still tread them, and why no one can behold Them as They tread.”
