Tiger Woods effect

This effect happens when professional golfers wake up in the morning and read the newspaper and find out that Tiger Woods is playing in the next tournament. After they hear this they all get worried and shit themselves.
Bob: "When I got onto the golf course today and saw Tiger the Tiger Woods effect hit me. Did hit you too?"

John: "Of course it did it is Tiger Woods."

The Woody Effect

The Woody Effect is serious and contagious effect first discovered at Wilfrid Laurier University. The first signs of the effect were seen during the University's frosh week. The rumour claims that an individual going by the persona of "Woody" was confused with the idea of frosh week, and assumed that it lasted all four years and not just a week. This lead to him spending his days brainwashing unsuspecting students (using techniques learned in Psychology) to drink despite them being behind in readings, having exams the next day, or that they were currently in an exam. Projections done by the University show a shocking number of drop outs in the future because of this effect. Special constables in Kitchener, Waterloo are currently investigating this effect and trying to contain it before it spreads to other Universities.
Woody: Bro what are you doing tonight?
Victim: Studying man I need to catch up in Economics.
Woody: What the fuccck dude it's university, you've changed, I'll be at your res in 5 and then we'll grab. It's 1 dollar beer night at Firehall too.
Victim: Do I have a choice?
Woody: Nope. You're already a victim of The Woody Effect

morning wood effect

In parallel thinking to the butterfly effect, this is not knowing what will happen when trying something new for the very first time. Like taking a piss with morning wood, you can never predict where or what direction your piss will go.
Like when NASA first had astronauts in space, they had no idea if they would come back alive until they did it.
Those scientists could only rely on the morning wood effect to be in their favor.

woody woodpecker effect

When any media is very known, loved and hugged by another nation, but anywhere else, even from the place it has been made, that media would be considered obsolete, mediocre or bad altogether. Just like Woody Woodpecker is to Brazil.
Joe: Have you seen the news? There's a new album from that brazillian musician I told you about.
João: Oh, we know that guy, we don't really give it to his music.
Joe: It must be Woody Woodpecker Effect, 'cuz his songs SLAP! I've shown it to all my friends here in England and they loved it!
A toe rag was originally a foot wrapping used, since mediaeval times up until the mid-nineteenth century, to protect the foot from chafing by boots or shoes. As these were, quite literally, rags they weren’t usually washed, and so with use they became very smelly until they were thrown away. Because of the similarity in smell, toe rag also became the name applied to dried, salted cod or other things with a strong, unpleasant, fishy smell. It didn’t take that long before the name was applied to someone who was an obnoxious, unpleasant OIC.
1 “Socks! Those aren’t socks you smelly git, they’re toe rags!”
2 “What have you been cooking? Smells like toe rag!”
3 “I can smell ‘er fanny from ‘ere, proper toe rag.”
4 That Heale Malcolm is a right toe rag.

Eternity leave

When some resigns or retires from a job, they are on "eternity leave". This can also refer to someone who has passed away, especially someone who worked somewhere for a long time, retired/resigned, then passed away later.
Oh I'm sorry, you didn't know that Kelly is on eternity leave? She resigned and moved to Hawaii!

With regrets I would like to inform you that my boss is officially on eternity leave. I will never see or hear them again. Ever.

The hypothetical man (often a sinister character who decided not to go to boot camp) that is doing your girlfriend/wife while you are on deployment overseas.
Ain't no use in goin home,
Jody's got your girl and gone.
Ain't no use in goin back,
Jody's got your Cadillac,
Ain't no use in feeling blue,
Jody's took your checkbook too.
