Trashcona (aka T-town, T-Compton, or God’s Country) is the nickname given to the Transcona Community Area of Winnipeg, making reference to its trashy women and trashy yards. The truths behind each statement are that in the 1960s pink flamingo ornaments caught on in a big way in transcona, making everyones yards look trashy.
