What math authors want to tell their local and foreign publishers in Singapore to cease using their content sans their permission in their sample chapters they submit to tender local and foreign projects; to pay them their due royalty when they sell their copyrights at book fairs; and not to rob them, by unscrupulously replacing their names with foreign ones when their textbooks are tailor-made for developing markets.

Singapore will continue to be a first-class economy with a third-class educational publishing industry as long as its unethical publishers pay lip service to stop the steal, with a number of morally corrupt and inept people occupying key positions still around today.

STEAL THE BACON

A game played in Harlem in which teams try to grab an object and get back to base without being tagged.

Teams line up, facing one another, about 30 feet apart. The object (e.g. a stick) is placed at the mid-point between the two lines. A "caller" stands to the side and calls out players by number, by odds or evens, or "all in" and the designated players run to the middle, each trying to STEAL THE BACON (grab the stick) and run back to their line without being tagged by an opposing player. steal the night 

To "Steal the night" seems to be an expression that means having a great evening with a man or woman you might love.

This term was used in a popular scene in the movie Bloodsport (1988), but also appears in many more popular songs (i.e., Lookbook - Steal the Night).

Tonight, let's steal the night. Life is so fleeting but we will always have that one great night before you fought in the Kumite. I hate that you risk your health and safety, but that makes our time together so much more special.
