A negative term directed to anyone of non-Chinese descent who displays overly obsessive behavior towards China and anything Chinese. Most sinoboo's are uneducated about their obsession and attempt to impress other's with their knowledge on the Chinese world or it's media. Some even go to the extent of claiming that they have Chinese blood or wear Chinese traditional clothing in the hopes that it'll make them "look the part." Sinoboo's also tend to misuse common Chinese words such as "ke ai" (cute) "gege" (brother) and "shuai" (cool) by using them too much or using them in random sentences. Sinoboo's may also be referred to as Chinaboo's and not to be confused with Sinophile's- people who genuinely admire China and it's culture.

An easy way to spot sinoboo's is to mention certain types of cmedia they like which are most likely cpop, cdrama, donghua, cnovel, or manhua. Although some are obsessed with Chinese gaming. Another step to identifying a sinoboo is noticing whether or not they have an odd fixation on the Chinese language or anything Chinese (including people) and start getting Chinese usernames/names without the help of an actual Chinese person.
"My best friend just told me she prefer's Cpop over regular pop music because she thinks Chinese sounds sexy... "
"Damn she sounds like a total Sinoboo."
"She is. She even refuses to date any non-Chinese men. She thinks they all look like Weibo stars"

someone who's so obsessed with china and it's people that they denounce their own culture and ethnicity. most of them claim to be of chinese origin but don't even look a speck of asian. some of them will even go to lengths as far as strictly dating only chinese people. these types of people may also be referred to as chinaboo's. sinoboo's are NOT to be confused with sinophile's (people who genuinely admire china and the chinese people)

Internet slang derived from the word Sinophile. Sinoboo means the complete opposite of it though, these people are very annoying and they obsess over anyone who lives in China, or has Chinese blood in them. If you speak any Chinese language like Cantonese or Mandarin Chinese, watch out- they're going to get you for your language ability. They try to type out Chinese Pinyin, but fail hard. (Most of them don't know what Pinyin is.) They are NOT people who have a major in a Chinese Dialect and can ACTUALLY write pinyin properly. Sinoboos usually like to write their name in Chinese Characters when they do schoolwork, and fail very hard at the strokes and the order of the strokes. They also buy things with Chinese Characters that they don't know the meaning to. Sinoboos take Chinese, Hong Kong, and Taiwanese drama to an obsessive level by trying to pick out phrases from it. These people are NOT the same people who simply enjoy to watch these dramas. Most of them are also c-pop lovers. Sinoboos are usually not Chinese themselves, but they claim they have some Chinese in them.
If you speak Chinese and one of them adds you on Facebook, be careful. You're in for a big roll of a 'lao shi'.
Person 1: Hey, did you hear? In Social Studies, Sarah was totally correcting every Chinese word that people said. The thing is, she didn't even say it right.
Person 2: Yeah, I know. I even told her, and she started to call me a China hater.
Person 1: She isn't even Chinese, what the hell?
Person 2: Pffft, duh. She's a total Sinoboo

someone non-chinese who's immensely obsessed with the country of china. this may also include people who brag about their small percentage of chinese ancestry despite having an even larger non-chinese ancestry. they usually stereotype the country as a "pop culture paradise" and think every chinese person is instantly superior than the rest of the human race for simply "being chinese." because of this, many of them attempt to partake in surgeries for a "chinese look" or may even appropriate chinese culture for a "chinese aesthetic." sinoboo's are so deranged that a large portion of them stalk and harass asian women in the hopes that they're chinese to feed into their chinese fetish.
person A: are you really chinese???
person B: uhhhh, yea?

person A: speak chinese if you're really chinese then
person B: why're you treating me like a dog? and no, i don't know any chinese...
person A: then you're not chinese lmfao
person B: dude are you a sinoboo?
person A: NO I'M NOT !!!! JUST BECAUSE I LIKE DONGHUA DOESN'T MAKE ME A SINOBOO !!!!
person B: i literally didn't mention cmedia at all. and considering you're getting so defensive, it seems i've hit a sore spot

A person infatuated with China and the Chinese people. Sinoboo's are especially prevalent in parts of Europe, North America and South-East Asia although they can appear anywhere at any time. Sinoboo's may also be people with slight Chinese DNA who make it their entire personality trait or only discuss their Chinese background. Others may be people who're desperate to appear Chinese and may audition for Cpop companies or have a weird obsession with Cmedia (especially donghua & manhua). Although this disease of an obsession is quite common, there are many people who genuinely respect China and it's people. Those people are called sinophile's.
"Why does Reina stare at her lockscreen so much?"
"God it's cause she has her favorite donghua boys on her lockscreen."
"Damn. She isn't even paying attention in class..."
"Yeah and she flunked this whole semester, straight F's lmfao. She's a total sinoboo."
