Rigmarole 

A set of confused and meaningless statements.

A long and complicated and confusing procedure; "all that academic rigmarole was a waste of time".

I'm not 100% sure where this term originates, but I've heard it used in Britain and Ireland.

1. "You wouldnt believe the rigmarole I had to go through just to have my credit cards cancelled!"

2. "Oh, not this rigmarole again!"

A true El Camino of the english language. This word is so versatile it can be used as a noun, verb, adjective, pronoun etc..

Look at that baby rigmarolling all over the place!

Incredible! That was a rigmarole of a game!

a lengthy or complicated procedure

joe: "I can't believe how long it took to fill out that form. It was such a rigmarole."

bob: "I know, right? And then we had to go through the whole process again because we missed one tiny detail. It was ridiculous."

joe: "And the instructions were so confusing, it was like they wanted us to make a mistake."
