Pollyanne 

Pollyanne is a female name made up from joining two names together because one name on its own is not awesome enough for her.

Often mixed up with Pollyanna or Polly-anne - this is just wrong and any Pollyanne would deliver a slap to the person's left cheek for getting her name wrong.

Pollyannes are lovely.

Girl 1 "Hey, there's Pollyanne, she has such a good name!"

Girl2 " I know, let me ask if she wants to sit with us. Hey Pollyanna wanna sit with us?"

Girl2s Face - slap.

Pollyanne. " I was going to sit with you but your obviously a dumbwhit who can't hear or spell ! "

Pollyannaish 

(adjective)
Belittling and often insulting term for being absurdly optimistic and good-hearted, believing in a good world where everything works out for the best all tht time. Often in combination with being God-fearing and perceiving oneself standing on a higher moral ground than others.

The word "Pollyannaish" is derived from "Pollyanna," the heroine of Eleanor H. Porter's famous novel "Pollyanna" (1913), whose outlook on life was one of absolute optimism and whose problems were always straightened out in the end.

(Disclaimer: Not very modern, but still an urban term.)

"Although I've been raped and mishandled by a demon, I'm determined to remain optimistic, no matter what" is a perfect summation of being pollyannish.

Pollanated 

a person who has adopted the simple, anti-corporate food philosophy of Michael Pollan, author of "In Defense of Food" and "The Omnivore's Dilemma.". See also Pollanate: to zealously spread Pollan's ideas to one's friends.

Sarah is the most Pollanated person I know. She makes her own bread from organic ingredients and visits her local farm for her veggies and meats.
