A part of speech that combines a simile(comparison using "like" or "as"), a onomatopoeia(word that imitates a sound), and an adjective(describes a noun). Relates a quality of something while denoting a sound associated with that thing.
"Wow, did you see that silver Corvette, it was like VROOM!" (VROOM would be the similaic onomatopadjective in this case)

onomotopaeia 

When the pronounciation of a word sounds similar to the noise the word describes.
Sizzle sounds like the noise something makes when it sizzles, and is therefore an onomotopaeia. Other examples of this would be words like ding, moan, or chirp.

A combination of onomatopia and an adjective, it describes a quality of something at the same time denoting a sound that is associated with that quality, object, or person.
"Wow, did you see that silver Corvette, it was like VROOOM!" (VROOM would be the onomatopagative in this case)
