Noun, A beat-nik's motto, or way of life. Things are never good or bad, beautiful or ugly - all must be dug. For instance, the Beatles - people will always dig them. On the other hand Devo, was only meant to be dug at the time.

self inflicting pain by using your nails to dig in to the skin of some part of your body. Often considered a form of cutting, but is more an act of stress, anxiety, anger,or tension then depression. Although sometimes, depression does cause digging.
After the continuous physical fights with her brother, she chose to dig her problems away.
