Missed opporunity due to a number of reasons, such as, She wasn't interested and wasn't about to make it happen, Your planning included being overall negligent, and not on top of your game, or simply you were being lazy and did not show up on time. Usually indicates that the 'missed opportunity' slid into the past and does not warrant looking back.
Ned we totally mizzed the dog show, how about we go to dinner early?

Melanie you mizzed your chance, that is why i bought you these plane tickets to fly out of the country.
