Coined by Jim Rome, a term for a male over the age of 21 who is part of a boyband who makes music that is geared to young girls and teens. Just about every male in the boyband business continued doing so well after their 21st birthday.
They should be called The BackstreetMen because they are all over 21. They are manbanders.
A coined term and portmanteau of man and abandonment, describing the experience of being emotionally, relationally, or situationally abandoned by a man—often following intimacy, commitment signals, or reliance.
Manbandonment refers less to a singleact and more to the impact of sudden withdrawal—silence, disengagement, or disappearance that leaves unresolved emotional weight.
“He didn’t explain, he just disappeared—classic manbandonment.”
“That wasn’t a breakup, it was manbandonment.”
“They're healing from manbandonment, not heartbreak.”
