Lurdle 

(Lur-dul)

A lurdle is someone or something, typically an animal, that acts stupidly, slowly, or opposite of what it should.

Also a noise made by children with their mouths.

"Look at Bobby, he's such a lurdle when he throws his food"
Or "That dumb lurdle dog of ours is chasing cars again"

Lurtle 

A mythical creature; a hybrid between a Lion and a Turtle. The Lurtle is a lion with the shell of a turtle on its body. They can swim and move on land. They can be found in the deepest areas of the ocean or the highest places of the safari. Lurtles are the rarest creature in all of existance and will probably never be found, unless a lion and a turtle.. Ya know, do the with with each other... Some how..

Lurple

An explanation or answer to a question that sounds logical at first but after thinking about it, is clearly flawed or outright wrong.

A good application of this concept is when making "lurple" answers to multiple choice questions. You want answers that sound like they might be correct but in fact, are wrong.

Another example of a lurple is when a someone tries to explain Intelligent Design rationally. Or their explanation as to why the Earth is only 6000 years old. The only way to succeed is to bypass the intellect with lurples.

The word originated in McLean, VA by a local High School Freshman in early 2009. (He was trying to come up with a word that rimed with purple.)

Lurlene Mcdaniel is a famous author.She has written over 60 young adult books.She was born in Manitoba, Canada in 1944 though she has lived in the USA most of her life. She is well-known for writing about characters struggling with mortality and chronic illness. Her characters have suffered from with cancer, diabetes, organ failure, and the deaths of loved ones through disease or suicide.She first started writing books about stuff like this when Her son Sean was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes at age 3.Many people across north america are in love with her books.I would only reccomend reading them if you aren't afraid to have a good cry while reading
