noun referring to the state of having the ability to understand difficulty caused by a legitimate disability that is not visible and meet the challenges that arise because of it.

Person 1: After I was diagnosed with Lupus my fatigue became so intense that I could not drive to work any longer so I changed careers and started working from home and gained my invisidability.

Person 2: That's good, now don't let your invisidabilty turn you into a smug smartass.

When a lesbian dresses in a traditionally feminine way, many people may assume that she is straight. She may also be told that she is "too pretty to be gay". As a result, she may become invisible to other lesbians because she does not fit the stereotypical "butch" role and/or does not date "butch" women.

What I suffer from on a daily basis.

1: So do you have a boyfriend?

2: No, I'm a lesbian

This theory deals with very skinny people who when looked at from the side are hardly visible because of how skinny they are.

Some people are just hard to spot because of the sideways invisibility theory.
