What Mary Poppins has to be whenever money is tight.
The movie got it all wrong --- the Banks family had not been having trouble with mean/colorless nannies; the nannies had all just been over-indulgent of the children, and so Mr. Banks hired Mary Poppins to teach his little ones about self-denial, willpower, and wise money-management --- Mary taught them to be "super-careful, frugalistic, extra-tally-conscious" when necessary.

Get the super-careful, frugalistic, extra-tally-conscious mug.
Someone who has traits of a Maximizer (A maximizer is an individual who consistently seeks the optimal outcome for any endeavor or purchase.) and a Frugalist. (Frugal emphasizes being saving, sometimes excessively saving, especially in such matters as food or dress, bills.: Doesn't purchase unnecessary things. Thrifty)

Maximizing-Frugalist may have unnecessary purchases, but will not let the money on the item go to waste;
Buying a guitar and insisting to learn daily.
Using batteries until they no longer turn on any device.
Using a single use .50c shaver until you no longer can.

Minimizing bills; going without extra channels on TV.

Choosing a minimal phone plan, gas for the remainder of the week, making half of a frozen pizza.
As a maximizing-frugalist, I am careful with my money and make sure i get my monies worth from all that i can.
