Fakebook

A digital pseudo-reality boasting your 'Real IP Address Self' has hundreds of close human 'friends' beyond those you actually have. Yet, the preponderance of these are anomalous entities, much like avatars or quintessences of the collective imagination of those involved. These pixel-meld hallucinations are typically of someone you have never met, never will, or even if you did, you wouldn't recognize each other, which proves the point entirely. 'Friends' are virtual, semi-actualized characters who 'liked' something you said in a lucid moment; are attracted to someone you resembled; were amused by a photo you posted; or related to purported fun or drama.

But since they are never online after befriending you (& they think you are weird if you write them later or think they are actually there) it shows you have bought into this parallel macrocosm of distortedly amplified friendship. Participation severely underlines your extreme insecurity about having few or no 'real' friends since you are willing to make friends with anyone under the slightest pretext & even buy into a scam that gives you a warm, fuzzy sensation of being part of a benign worldwide social network (that may not even include your actual family & friends), but is mainly trying to sell you stuff via tailored ads that materialize on the right, regarding everything you talk about. Just post any word that crosses your mind to see behind the fabric of this lucrative venture. Ka-ching!

Fakebook marriage

A combination of the words "Facebook" and "fake." Describes a false relationship status showing your relationship status on Facebook as married, when you are not actually married to the person. It can discourage people from hitting on you but more then likely you just married your best friend to avoid posting your actual relationship status on Facebook.
"I love my Fakebook marriage: I didn't want that guy to bug me about our relationship status on Facebook. Thank god I told him I'm married to my best friend and it would hurt her feelings if we broke it off."

Fakebooking

The act of intentionally misrepresenting your appearance on Facebook to hide that you are fat. This person will engage in the act of photo manipulation such as cropping out anything below the shoulders in pictures. The lower half of their body would show that they are clearly not hot, but they are more concerned with keeping up with appearances on Facebook than hitting an elliptical.
Guy1: Who is that girl with ----- in that picture? She's hot.

Guy2: That girl!? Don't let her fool you, she is always fakebooking.

A dummy account on Facebook in which the owner only adds friends for the purpose of fapping (masturbating) to their photos.

This may be as simple as a freshly-made, blank profile or as complex as a fully fleshed-out profile with fake photos, background information and persona.

Doing this requires certain precautions:
1. Don't add any friends from your real Facebook page
2. Don't forget to log out after using it every time
3. Refrain from speaking to the women you have added (remember, this is a fake account used only for fapping, no good will come from actually talking to these women)
4. If you decide to tell anyone about your Fapbook, don't tell them your fake name.

Tips and tricks:
1. Once you add one person, look through their friends list for more. Slutty girls often have slutty friends. Also, the more mutual friends you have, the more likely it is they will add you.
2. Eventually, you will get banned from adding people for a while. To avoid this, get girls to add you by having a photo that looks like an attractive celebrity.
3. For some unknown reason, you will occasionally be prevented from adding certain people. Poke these people and they may add you, or poke you back. In either case, you now have a link to their profile on your page.
4. If a favorite fapping object unfriends you, simply post a link to their albums on your wall. Unfortunately, this only works if their photos are viewable by all.
An example of a fapbook would be a male creating a profile and adding only women to whom he would like to masturbate. He may add women who have their photos only viewable to friends, or he may add particularly attractive women just to have them on standby so he doesn't have to look them up again.

Fakebook

Posting only good things (upgraded photos and cheery texts) that make your life look better than it really is. Half-truths...the good stuff happened, but all negatives are nowhere to be seen.
My husband and I had a huge fight, and are on the verge of splitting up, but you will see cutesy the posed pictures from the party we went to on Saturday. I posted them on Fakebook..

fakebook

Any social media site that irresponsibly allows fake news to be easily and quickly disseminated to hundreds of millions. By doing so, democratic elections are influenced in favor of candidates and their followers who are willing to lie pathologically, repeatedly spread false rumors and race-bait. These sites and their purveyors of fake news consequently create an existential crisis for responsible journalism, the people of the United States and, now that I think about it, the entire world.
