A failist is someone who typically fails a lot. In fact, they fail so much that it has become their occupation and their further goals in life are to fail twice as bad as their previous fail.

A persons who believes that failure is possible

Dana thought Angie had failed to make the cheerleading team but Angie thought she had succeeded at trying something outside her comfort zone and she resolved to find a sport that she could display her athleticism and agility. They experienced the same event from different perspectives because Dana was a failist.
