a rock climber's slang term for "dynamic" - a powerful move which involves jumping from one hand hold to another (when the distance between the holds is too great to reach), losing all four points of contact in the process.
you essentially fly through the air for a split second before grabbing the next hold.
"woah!! dude did you see that dyno?"

"yeah man that was crazy! he must have jumped 10 feet!"

a machine used to measure the WHP (wheel hp) of a car across the cars entire range of gears.. also gives torque ratings
I just got my car dynoed after installing the intercooler, larger turbo and boost controller. I'm at 344 whp and roughly 300 ft/lb of torque

a machine used to measure the ACTUAL horsepower of a vehicle. a machine most "Ricers" are afraid of.
yo that Ricer swore he had 500hp. but when i PAID for him to put it on the DYNO he soon found out it only had 132hp. Guess all the stickers didnt make a damn bit of difference.

Shit mang, my civac only put down 110 HP on the dyno after installing my CAI, that's only 1 more HP than before!

Adjective - 2) for a party to receive a positive outcome from the result of loss or gain. This outcome is usually expected to be ridiculously good

History: amounted from greek word "dino" which originally meant "terrible", later to reviewed and amended to "Dyno" (description given above) in the early 20th century
