Sixteen Candles

A classic 1980's John Hughes flick that chronicles the story of Samantha, a sixteen year old whose family has forgotten her birthday. Jake Ryan, the "perfect" guy in school, saves the day- saving Samantha from her sister's awful wedding, and buying her a birthday cake. This movie is famous for it's archetype characters- 'The geek'- Called either Farmer Ted, or the Geek, and played by Anthony Michael Hall, 'the perfect man'- Jake Ryan, played by actor/model Michael Schoeffling, and 'the awkward high school girl', played by Molly Ringwald. The character of Jake Ryan has grown extrememly popular over the years as an example of a perfect man- smart, rich, courteous, sweet, considerate- and one who breaks up with the curvy, beautiful head cheerleader for the gawky, awkward younger girl.
Girl- "I just saw Sixteen Candles today."
Friend- "And?"
Girl- "I want my own Jake Ryan."

Canoodling Hoagie

To canoodle is to cuddle, pet, caress, etc. fondly.

A sandwich is a food item usually consisting of more than one (most likely three) layerable food.

A hoagie is very much like a sandwich (and is considered to be a kind of one by many) but is different in the sense that they consist of a much greater number of layers of food.

A canoodling sandwich consists of three people fondly caressing, snoggling, cuddling each other in one place at one time.

A canoodling hoagie is much like that of a canoodling sandwich but with much more people (usually four to ten).
As I passed by the seating area during cocktail hour, I witnessed Emma and Dustin cuddling in the corner of one of the couches. Greg saw them and joined in on the action. I walked away.

Roughly thirty minutes later, I passed by again, but this time, Ken, Juliette, Tim, Helena, Colin, and Hugh had all found their places on the couch. The canoodling hoagie had been formed and didn't seem like it was going to dissipate any time soon.

cannonless

A trick in the Whomp's Fortress level of Super Mario 64. By walking off a plank towards a wall, at a very precise angle, you can grab a star without using the level's cannon.
My friend Sig was doing Mario speedruns last night, and he shaved some serious time off the clock by using cannonless.
