look up any word:

2. NWTekno
A place where lover of Electronic music who live in the Pacific NorthWest gather to discuss upcoming music releases and events as well as discuss past events. A great place to NetWork musicians and venues. Drug use and discussion although not banned, has always been frowned upon by the more serious lovers of the scene.
Over the years, Klubstompers has benefited from the exposure and input from Electronic music fans in the NorthWest on NWTekno.

3. war of 1812
The outcome of the war was a stalemate: neither side benefited when the Treaty of Ghent was signed. However, during the war a British blockade forced the United States, a mercantile nation, to seriously industrialize because its lucrative trade with Europe was disrupted.

Also, Americans began, for better or worse, to develop their own distinct culture that distanced itself from Britain. With some exceptions in more sophisticated cities like New York and Philadelphia, and a few major southern plantations, European high culture and intellectualism were taboo in America for many years after the war. This was the era that saw the emergence of rural "white trash" American folk heroes like Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone.
...and that is what American schoolchildren are taught.
4. system quarterback

5. United states of america
The second largest nation on the North American continent, situated between Canada to the north and Mexico to the south.

The only political and military superpower left on earth, it is held in contempt and jealousy by others, albeit sometimes not without merit.

Home to the oldest written constitution still in effect, it has benefited from almost 230 years of political stability. Because of this, and it's many natural resources, it has been blessed to have the largest economy in the world.

Sometimes confused with their government, the citizenry is generous and truly believes in the "American Dream", i.e., that if you work hard enough, and long enough, you can succeed in your endeavors.

It is a country of immigrants, not ethnicity; anyone can become an American, but not all can be a Japanese, or a German, or a Russian, etc.

It's government, such as all governments, has in the past, (and some argue now) let it's people down by not living up to it's expectations. In America however, that government can be removed not by bullets, but by ballots.
I live in the United States of America.
6. Finland
A cold country that lays in Eastern Scandinavia the people in Finnalnd are Nordic and some viking backgrounds. The earliest traces of human habitation in Finland date from about 8000 bc, when the most recent of the Ice Ages was retreating. These primitive hunters and gatherers probably arrived from the east. Pottery making characterized another type of Stone Age culture (starting 3000? bc) known as the Comb-Ceramic; its practitioners were of a different origin. The succeeding Battle-Ax culture (1800-1600 bc) may have been brought to Finland by an Indo-European people from a more southerly Baltic region; these people were able navigators and also introduced agriculture. A merger of the Battle-Ax people and the previous dwellers resulted in the so-called Kiukainen culture (1600-1200 bc).

During the age of the Vikings the Finns became exposed to both eastern and western influences. Vikings from Sweden used the Ă…land Islands (colonized by Swedes in the 6th century ad) as a base for their journeys of pillage and trade into Russia as far south as the Black Sea. Although they did not actually participate in these Viking expeditions, the Finns benefited by the growing contact and the establishment of trading colonies in their country by merchants from Sweden and Gotland. At the end of the 11th century three Finnish tribes had spread as far north as the 62nd parallel: the Finns proper in the southwest, the Tavastians in the interior lake district, and the Karelians to the east. ...

7. DBZ
The acronym for Dragonball Z, it is the only anime whose viewing audience does not primarily consist of nerds and losers. A large portion of its viewers are actually "cool" (by meaning of social standards). As a matter of fact, quite a few fans of the series are unfamiliar with the term "anime".
A few of my friends who weight train at the gym gained their inspiration from DBZ. The show has actually benefited their wellbeing thus far. Which other animes can be accredited for doing the same?
