asherons call

An excellent MMORPG developed by Turbine and Published by Microsoft.

When it was first released the game was moderately popular for many years and was of much greater quality than Evercamp. It had many brilliant and innovative ideas such as the Allegance System and the Updates which added new content to the game every month. However, the updates were eventually the death of the game as the morons added so many high level creatures to the game that it became to dangerous to walk five feet out of any town unless you were over level 100. What were they thinking?

The Sequel to this game was extremely similir to the original game except that it had slightly better graphics and all the good features were removed. In other words the sequel sucked. Hopefully if there is ever a another sequel to this wonderful game then the developers will have the sense to bring back the original Character system, magic and other excellent features from the original that the last game lacked.
Asherons call is the best MMORPG I have ever played. Although if I had spent a few more weeks with Anarchy Online I might have changed my mind.

Ron Asheton

One of the most influential guitarists (if not the greatest) of all time. Along with Iggy Pop, his friend Dave Alexander and his brother Scott he formed The Stooges, the band which all other bands try to be. They gained no commercial success in their original incarnation but have since been credited with basically inventing punk rock, heavy metal and alternative rock.

Although he had never played guitar before (he had only played bass) his minimalist, primitive style which focused on power rather than technique was revolutionary. He is recognisable for his use of feedback, fuzz and wah, as well as his incredibly emotive guitar style.

Although he wasn't recognised as the great guitarist he was in The Stooges original incarnation the songs he wrote including: "I Wanna Be Your Dog", "No Fun" and "1969" have become recognised as classics. The Stooge's second album Fun House has been praised by everyone by from Jack White to Mark E. Smith as the greatest album ever made.

A year after the release of “Fun House” all his band mates turned to heroin. Ron saved them on countless occasions until a certain Mr. David Bowie rescued Iggy who got the band together for the album Raw Power.

For Raw Power Ron was demoted to bass in favour of James Williamson as guitarist. This incarnation of The Stooges (now dubbed Iggy And The Stooges) also had no commercial success but “Raw Power” has since been recognised in hindsight as a classic and Ron's bass playing as a big influence.

After The Stooges disbanded, Ron went on to worked with other Detroit bands such as Destroy All Monsters and The New Order (not to be confused with the UK band), although Destroy All Monsters gained little success they had a small cult following in the UK and their native Detroit however they have been largely overlooked in recent years.

Playing in bands from place to place he eventually worked alongside Mark Arm, Thurston Moore and Mike Watt under the guise of The Wylde Ratttz for the soundtrack to Velvet Goldmine. However in 2003 The Stooges reunited. Playing on the Iggy Pop album Skull Ring they went on to go on a series of hugely successful reunion tours (this time with the praise they deserved originally) these tours lasted from 2003 to 2008 with more planned for 2009. During this they recorded two tracks for a Jim Kimbrough tribute album called "Sunday Nights" and a full length album The Weirdness. In 2007 Ron released a signature model Reverend [guitar.

On the 6th of December 2009, at the age of 60 Ron was found dead in his Ann Arbour home. Police suspected no foul play and evidence suggests it was a heart attack.

Ron Asheton's legacy will live on through the countless number of guitarists and musicians inspired by him.

R.I.P Ron Asheton

Atherton

A small redneck town located near Cairns in far north Queensland, Australia. It is the inbreeding capital of far north Queensland.
Sometimes called 'A-town'.
WARNING: This nicknaming is commonly used by white trash, douche bags, and the under educated.
Mostly inhabited by redneck townsfolk, farmers and rich Italian families that run most of the local businesses around town.
On any given weekday all of the stores close after 8:00pm, except for the 24 hour gas station, which seems to be a popular hangout for the younger rednecks. Popular local activities include staring at the non-locals and driving like a fucking moron. If you're into nightlife the local pubs offer live DJ's that play all of your favourite radio songs every third Friday of the month. The pubs make a special effort to stay open until 1:30 or 2:00AM to cater for this event.
Saturdays and Sundays are not acknowledged in Atherton. Mondays are the new Sunday.
"Where are you from?"
"Atherton."
"Where?"

"A-town is da best place in da world". - local.

atherton

Atherton is the most expensive zip code in the United States, featured in Forbes Magazine yearly for the ridiculous house pricing. Homes in Atherton range from 3 million to 25 million, averaging around $7,000,000. Home to some of the most powerful men and women in technology in the world, such as the CEO of Ebay, YouTube, HP, Google, and Larry Ellison, being wealthy in Atherton means being a multi-billionaire. 17 year olds drive Ferraris.

So basically, to live in A-town, you must be rich, white, and go to a private school that costs +25,000
He lives in Atherton, daaaamn he must be a fucking billionaire.

Did you know that YouTube was founded above Applewood Pizza, only minutes away from Atherton?

Fuck man, he must be so spolid he's from Atherton.

Atherton

Being the most expensive zip code in the country and with the highest per capita income of any city in the world, Atherton is where rich people work before retiring to places for old people such as Rancho Santa Fe (cheaper) or Palm Springs (also cheaper). It is seperated into 3 main areas, the area south of Alameda, where Larry Ellison and a few other billionaires live, the midtown area which includes normal people in normal houses that just happen to retail for around 3 Million each, at the cheapest, and the COMPARABLY stank ass area north of El Camino, which includes Lindenwood, a knockoff of midtown, which is impossible to navigate. It is still better than Hillsborough. Other neighboring knockoffs of Atherton include Woodside and Palo Alto, which are the only comparably nice areas, and Menlo Park, which is identical to Atherton except for the addition of businesses, sidewalks, and postage stamp sized lots. In Portola Valley, everyone knows each other (in a creepy way) and no flowers grow because otherwise Portola Valley wouldn't be an ugly shithole, which it undoubtably is. Being an Athertonian is sometimes annoying, as telling people that you are from Atherton puts you prone to constant mooching. In summary, Atherton is much nicer than where you live. The End.
Portola Valley is like Atherton, except with pretentious, genetically inferior scum. And no plants.

Atherton is where Laguna Beach should be shot, because one Athertonian man from South Atherton could buy both the city of Laguna Beach, and all the cast members from the show. And they would still have enough to buy Haiti.

Atherton

Hometown. The best city in the world. Although there's no noise, EVER! About 7,000 people mostly adults over the age of 50. Exactly the place I wish to remain for the rest of my life. Oh and Beverly Hills and Starfish Island might be more famous but those are only movie stars and celebrities who live there. Here, there are regular people with bigger bank accounts than usual.
Damn, you live in Atherton? You must be rich!
